BRAND REDESIGN

STEM SCIENCE TOY LINE

An exceptionally fun and challenging project.

This line of National Geographic STEM science learning sets was being held back by the legacy artwork and desperately needed a design overhaul to more appeal to its target demographic. My aim was to focus on increasing the line’s visual excitement and raising the perceived value of the products while redirecting the graphics to more fit in with the traditional Nat Geo brand.
This incredibly successful rebrand helped my client land major contracts and in-store shelf space in international retail stores!

PACKAGING REDESIGN

FOR 13 ARTIST BRUSH PRODUCT LINES

An exceptionally fun and challenging project.

Silver Brush wanted a new look for their numerous artist brush sets and needed the new designs to not only fit the varied combinations of their current brush sets, they needed the designs to fit any future mix of their hundreds of brushes as well… while only using five dielines.
While the original project consisted of 36 packages across 13 lines, in the years following we have added new packages, new lines, and new product categories to their catalog. And yes, a catalog as well.

Cosplay Crafting Supplies Brand Design

FOAM FORGE

FOAM FORGE® is an art and crafts supply company focusing on providing top-quality tools for cosplay creators and tabletop game crafters. They wanted their design to have a do-it-yourself crafting feel that still reflected the quality of their products.

I designed a kraft-paper/raw cardboard aesthetic with elements of silver foil to capture both ideas.  FOAM FORGE is an ecommerce-only product line at the moment so the packages I created were designed to allow a good unboxing experience while taking up the bare-minimum amount of warehouse space as items would not be sitting on retail shelves at this time, which also helped reduce the product’s shipping costs.

BEAR GRYLLS

After the incredibly successful National Geographic rebrand, JMW expanded and hired on new team members. The owner of the company decided to try a “meritocracy” approach to this brand design project, resulting in a chaotic amalgamation of a bit of everyone’s designs.

While I do not claim ownership of this project, there is a lot of my work in these packages so I have decided to share them for the time being.

PLEASE NOTE: The Bear Grylls campfire logo was provided by Bear Grylls representation.

JURASSIC QUEST

After helping secure JMW’s contract to provide Jurassic Quest with merchandise for their traveling events with my custom shelving display presentation, I had to immediately design package branding for the hundreds of new Jurassic Quest products we would now be making.

My solution to accomplish the amount of work in the time frame provided was to create a simple brand with graphic assets that would work across the many varied labels, tags, and boxes we were producing.

PLEASE NOTE: I did not create the Jurassic Quest logos.

This simple design was able to be quickly and easily adapted to any of the wind up dino-cars, magic wands, plush dino-wear (slippers, tail, wings), stuffed animals, and plastic figure that we were currently making as well as any future product.
